Try Arctic scuba diving and ice diving for a real underwater adventure. Take a dip in the crystal clear yet freezing waters of the Arctic where the flora and fauna grow in uniquely cold environments, or dive under the ice sheets to experience the world of orcas and seals.
Maybe Norway, Iceland and Russia aren’t the first places you think of when you’re planning your next scuba diving trip but these destinations have unique underwater environments. For example, Iceland has Silfra, which has 100+ metre visibility, and Strytan, the only geothermal chimney that can be dived anywhere in the world. Norway has 50+ metre visibility, fascinating unspoilt shipwrecks and flora and fauna that grow huge in response to the cold environment, Russia offers ice diving qualifications and fabulous sea ice diving. You can even snorkel with orcas in Norway!
As ice diving has specific entry and exit points, and needs specialist equipment, you need to be qualified to dive under ice. We can provide access to the correct training. Once you become a qualified ice diver we can even arrange Arctic scuba diving under the North Pole. Speak to one of our Dive team members to see what we can offer – all our tours can be joined by individuals or can be booked by dive clubs that wish to take a group.
The White Sea will be the base for this week long ice diving holiday. Whether you have been ice diving before or it is a new experience the package can be open to any qualified divers although AOWD with dry suit experience/Sport diver qualifications are preferable. If you are not already a qualified ice diver or have at least 5 ice dives under your weight belt then an ice diving course will be recommended on arrival. Once qualified you will be experiencing visibility of up to 50 metres, ice hummocks and rifts, amazing soft corals and a great variety of fish and sea life. Heated huts are placed over the ice for your comfort and there even heated toilets and a “restaurant” cabin on the ice for lunch! This is one of our most popular diving packages, narrowly ahead of diving in Iceland as here you actually dive under the ice.
Available from late February – mid-April for Ice diving and year round for other diving.

Once in a lifetime opportunity to swim with Orca off the coast of Norway. Whether you want to stay on the boat and take some amazing pictures or jump in the water to snorkel and get the closest encounter, you are sure to have an amazing experience.
Join an intrepid small group of divers and photographers as we head out on a with the intention to get up close and personal with the Orca. The group adheres to all good practices to ensure not to disturb the Orca. Our plan is to head out on the boat each day but if the weather is not suitable we may offer another activity as safety is our first concern. We usually manage around 5 days out on the water and sightings of Orca on most days. The trip is based on a liveaboard so it is possible to follow the movement of the orcaand day trips are by Zodiak to allow faster movement to get to where the orca are feeding.
You’ll be with some of the best guides in the world and travelling with the main intention of seeing wild Orca. You may also see herring in vast amounts, fin whales, minke whales, and sei whales. In addition, you’ll be travelling at one of the best times to see the Northern Lights. This is an experience of a lifetime. Sightings likely but not guaranteed.
Guests should be in good physical shape. Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for those with mobility or disability limitations.

Imagine unspoilt waters with great visibility, a constantly changing scenery of icebergs that nobody has seen before in that form, inlets that have never been dived before, not seeing another dive group for an entire week. You could be dreaming of Greenland! Cozy guesthouse included and all meals in Greenland and an excellent opportunity to see the Northern Lights.
Some information about Greenland:
The first people to set foot in Greenland arrived around 4-5000 years ago from the North American continent via Canada when the sea froze in the narrow strait at Thule in northern Greenland. No less than six different Inuit cultures have immigrated in several waves. Greenland’s population today is descended from the last immigration, the Thule culture, which arrived in around the 9th century AD. One of the things people who travel to Greenland want to see, alongside the Northern lights, are the fantastic Icebergs.
Some information about Icebergs:
Icebergs consist of heavily compacted snow that fell on the Greenlandic ice cap several thousand years ago – in some cases more than 15,000 years ago. The ice cap is in a constant state of change and movement, and every year it produces thousands of icebergs that are primarily formed in the sea from glaciers in the central and north-western region of Greenland and on Greenland’s east coast. They are present throughout Greenland’s waters, but the areas around Ilulissat and Uummannaq are particularly well-known as the source of many large icebergs that break off the glaciers in the deep fjords. Icebergs are found in countless different shapes and sizes – it is not uncommon to see icebergs that contain beautiful openings that form beautiful passages to sail through.

The expedition will take place over 8-10 days in April. The Programme may change depending on the weather, ice, technical and other conditions.
Those who wish may extend the programme with additional dives near the ice airfield, between their return from the Pole and their departure for Longyearbyen. In this case, the programme will be extended by several days. The expedition requires all the participants to work together to achieve the main goal: full-blown, interesting and safe diving as close as possible to the North Pole, by each participant in the programme.
Packages typically include accommodation, expert guiding, dive support, and transfers.
